Our home should be our sanctuary; a place where we feel safe, secure and happy. At times this isn’t the case.

We can feel a sense of unease, or that things keep going wrong, or that moods or behaviours have changed.

In some situations, people can even feel a presence around them, watching them, whispering, making noises or moving things. Animals can behave differently in certain areas of the house or suddenly watch a space when we think nothing is there.

The list of possibilities is endless, and I have witnessed or heard people describe a whole host of issues. I’ve had a picture turned around, a bracelet moved from my nightstand and placed in a drawer, I’ve heard a loud rapping in the night, and I’ve even seen and felt a dark figure shake me in my sleep.

We often know some or all of the history of our property but can’t possibly know the full history of the land our property stands, or the history of the previous tenants in our home.

Your home could be a site of a historic battle, or it could have at some time been viewed as a sacred place. Both can create issues until the land is reassigned to that of a home.

Shifts in the earth such as, tremors, floods and subsidence can unsettle earth energies and bring a range of issues. After any kind of disturbance, be aware of changes within your property and family.

Earthbound Spirts

Not all souls cross over to the other side when they pass on. They can be tied to an area for many reasons such as: to stay near those they love; to deal with unfinished business; to be near something they are addicted to or quite simply they do not realise they have died. It is never right for souls to stay with us – we all need to move on so, we can receive our review, healing, and guidance for our next experience. Souls can always come back and visit us once they’ve moved on.

When earthbound spirits are in our homes, they often carry an energy. Common energies are chaos, confusion, anger and anxiety. These energies can resonate with individuals in the home and they can be deeply affected by them. People can feel the change in their thoughts and behaviour yet have no idea why.

Repeated Negative Thoughts

We all have negative thoughts that sometimes repeat – we are all human after all. Repeated thoughts can create a thought form that hangs around us like a cloud. Sometimes we can buy into independent negative thought forms that travel around looking for people who are a match to them, so they gain more strength.

It’s good for us all to have an awareness of what we are creating and buying into, so that we can break our patterns and improve our energies. Pay attention to your thoughts and mood and look out for any unusual changes.
